Plus a few FAQ regarding massage appointments!
Amanda Jones has been a massage therapist for over 10 years, with experience in treating a wide range of clients. She specialises in deep tissue remedial massage, using relaxing, slow and constant pressure to bring relief to even the most sensitive clients!
In the below article, she shares with us the benefits of getting regular massage, and answers some commonly asked questions.
Don’t worry, we are massage therapists, not salesmen! We will only give you honest advice that is best for your health and wellbeing, based on our years of experience in the industry.
Whether you are someone who gets massage only when they are given a voucher, someone only comes in when you are in pain and can’t take it anymore, or someone who NEVER misses their regular remedial massage appointment, you have experienced the benefits of having a massage. You know just how good your body and mind feels after a massage, and you enjoy the experience.
Here are some of the top reasons to book in for regular treatment at our Kingscliff Remedial Massage Clinic:
- Regular remedial massage can prevent aches and reduce your chances of injury. Taking care of “niggles” when they are minimal can play a significant role in preventing pain. Whether you are prone to headaches, strained muscles, a stiff neck or sore lower back, your massage therapist will take care of any spots you deem “tight”, plus find a few others during the treatment. This will give you peace of mind to be able to train harder, work and live pain-free, and have peace of mind going about your day. Not to mention better quality sleep!
- Regular massage gives you something to look forward to. Let’s face it, no one is going on extravagant holidays in 2021. If the most you can hope for is a “Kingscliff Remedial Massage Getaway”, then that’s pretty good in our books! Having something to look forward to is so good for your mental health, knowing that you are taking care of your body, your wellbeing and taking a time out just for you.
- Having an appointment booked in means time doesn’t slip away from you. It’s so easy for one month to turn into two, and then before you know it’s been 6 months and your stiffness is right back to where it started. Booking in your appointment ahead of time means that you are more likely to keep that regular booking. It’s a decision to make your health a priority, and means you can get the time that suits your calendar! No having to juggle commitments to get to your remedial massage in Kingscliff. (Don’t worry – we send you reminders!)
- You can see your preferred therapist. While some people are happy to see any of our experienced massage therapists, some people only want to see their beloved Kingscliff massage therapist who is the “only one for them”! While you are not required to see the same massage therapist every time, it is possible to find a favourite. If you book ahead of time, you are most likely to get an appointment with that person.
You might have experienced the opposite of some of these reasons. Accumulating pain, that dreaded feeling “something is going to give soon”, too long between treatments or maybe seeing someone unfamiliar to you. While in that last regard, trying something new isn’t always a bad thing, we want you to be taken care of and happy with every treatment. I hope that you feel compelled to book in your next treatment, and the one after that, after reviewing some of the benefits.
Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have ANY other questions, please feel free to contact us directly.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How often should I come? Your massage therapist will give you a recommendation during or after your treatment. This is based on what they find during your session and will take into consideration what your goals are regarding lifestyle, pain management, injury prevention, and any other relavent information.
Will my treatment be the same every time? It is very unlikely it will be the exact same! While every massage therapist has their go-to moves and signature style, none of us follow a set “routine”. You are welcome to request that your therapist do something similar to the last time, or work on an area in the same way, if you found it to be effective.
What if I can’t come for the same length of time each time? We offer several different appointment lengths, and are of the belief that “something is better than nothing”! If you need to book a shorter session the next time for whatever reason, that is no problem at all.
Something has come up and I can’t make my appointment! What do I do? If something comes up last minute, you can always ask a family member or friend if they might want to see your favourite Kingscliff massage therapist and take your booking. This way you can re-book another time, the slot hasn’t gone to waste, and you won’t incur any cancellation fees.
